Greenblatt Special Situations - shortcut to SEC search for hard to find filings using @Sentieo

I remember walking into my first analyst role and my manager telling me to read "You Can Be a Stock Market Genius" by Joel Greenblatt.  Even though I finished the book in 3 days - I couldn't get my head around the main principles. It was only in the past year after watching some of Greenblatt's recorded Columbia lectures that I understood special situations and how I would execute them today for my own portfolio.  The book didn't have any example filings or granular details about the companies that he covered but his Columbia recorded lectures filled in the gaps. A reason for special situations being under-researched is that an SEC search has a lot of friction.

Here are the excerpts from his book; the filings we need to search are 8K, S1, S2, S3,S4, FORM-10,13D, 13G, 14D-1, 13E-3, 13E-4.

I was able to use the document search function on www.sentieo.com; a cloud based equity data research terminal. Sentieo allows you to setup a filter and an email notification for all these forms and have them emailed me to me on a daily basis.   This is a subscription based service so you are spending money here for convenience.  Here are the screenshots for Sentieo and how you would set this document search for special situations opportunities in investing. As Greenblatt would say - time to go hunting for treasure!
